BAD GIRLS

Veteran author Jane Yolen joins forces with Heidi E. Y. Stemple to present women through history, each of whom has a rotten reputation. The reader decides whether Tituba was really a conspiring witch or just a humble housemaid and analyzes the evidence stacked for and against Lizzie Borden. Each chapter ends with comic panels featuring caricatures of the authors discussing each woman, with Heidi arguing as the prosecution and Jane arguing in favor of considering the context.
