Verdict

Did you ever want to say what you really meant? This author, Elias Adam did but used an animal to do it, a dog to be exact. I'm not sure if it made it easier for me to read some of the things this person and family endured or if it gave him the courage to speak the words. Humans can be cruel and so can animals, to a point, the character is also from Algeria and there are things that happen that we in the United States would not see in our lives, but, we do get a chance to read about them. This book is an example of that and however or whatever object or animal it took for this person to take shape to tell history, he did well. This book is worth the read, it will take you a couple of chapters to get into it, but, stick with it.
