Others are darker, as when they meet up with a group of humans who are more like aboriginals. Someone loses a thumb, and the two races exchange swordplay. Cutter's love interest, Leetah, and most of the female cast, have the look of belly dancers, and the men's flowing locks and athletic appearances make Elfquest definitely a beautiful people comic.
